Solar power is the renovation of sunlight into energy, either directly using photovoltaic (PV), or circuitously using concerted solar power (CSP). Concentrated solar power systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking techniques to spotlight a great area of sunlight into a small beam. Photovoltaic alters light into electric current using the photoelectric effect. Each of these two forms of solar energy requires the manufacture of two separate kinds of solar panels.

One is labeled a solar collector that is used to heat up water and then stock it in a tank for sharing when wanted. The other type of panel is called a solar panel, or more properly, a photovoltaic panel. Solar panels accumulate the light waves from the Sun and alter it into direct current electricity, that can then be switched to alternating current using an inverter. Concerted Solar Power (CSP) systems use lenses or mirrors and tracing systems to direct a big spot of sunlight into a small sunbeam.
