DTE Energy Co. (DTE), the Detroit-based
utility owner, agreed to buy a 75-megawatt wind farm from a
subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc.

Pheasant Run II in Huron County will be renamed Brookfield
Wind Park, DTE Energy said today in a statement. Terms of the
sale weren’t disclosed.

NextEra Energy Resources will retain ownership of the 75-megawatt Pheasant Run I and sell power from it to DTE Energy,
according to the statement.

The combined 150 megawatts is enough to power about 70,000
homes. DTE Energy will have about 10 percent of its power sales
come from renewable sources by next year, the company said.
