Insulating your external walls is a great way to ensure that the heat in your home stays where it should be. Here’s a bit of info on external wall insulation.

External Wall Insulation

Recently, we covered the benefits of getting your roof and attic insulated, and we’ve also taken a look at insulating cavity walls. But what do you do if your gaff doesn’t have cavity walls? There’s a simple solution that could save you a wad of cash in the long run.

So what exactly is external insulation? Well, as the name suggests, it involves fixing an insulating material to the outer surface of your home’s walls. So even if you don’t have cavity walls you can still insulate your home and make some great energy savings, while staying nice and warm during the winter.

The external insulation sheets are covered with a protective mesh and weather-tight render, which is extremely durable and has high impact resistance. So it won’t start falling apart even after years of wind and rain battering against it.

Now, external insulation is a tad more expensive compared to other forms of insulation. However, some people will find that they have no other option but to insulate the outer walls of their house, but in fairness it is highly effective.
