Wind energy is a rapidly scalable, zero emissions and low-cost solution that states should consider using to meet their carbon reduction goals as outlined by the new Environmental Protection Agency rule.

The EPA recently announced rules to require the nation’s existing power plants to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The rule requires states not only to reduce emissions from existing power plants, but they also must ensure the electric system remains reliable and that the pollution control options are both cost effective and currently available.
