Man robs variety and bakery store in Zurich

 OPPcruiserBLUEWATER –A lone male robbed a variety and bakery store in Zurich of an undisclosed amount of money last night.

Huron County OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call from Zurich Variety and Bakery located at 57 Main Street at about 8 p.m.  Police were told a lone male entered the store and demanded money from the cashier.  The robber took the undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the store in an unknown direction. No weapons were observed

OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and an OPP canine unit searched the area. The suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 5’ 10” to 6’ tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue spandex balaclava, a black hoody sweatshirt, and black jogging pants.

Huron County OPP and the Huron County OPP Crime unit are currently investigating.
