Even with more than 300 exhibitors showing the season’s new home and garden products, visitors at the Jacksonville Home Patio Show can spend all day at the Prime Osborn Convention Center without ever checking out a window or a water softener.

The show has a full schedule of demonstrations and seminars covering home improvement, design and cooking.

The star celebrity at the show is Ahmed Hassan, host of DIY Network’s “Yard Crashers.” A certified landscape maintenance technician, Hassan will share his tips and techniques on keeping the grounds around tour home in top condition.

Hassan is scheduled on the Fresh Ideas Stage at noon and 4 p.m. on Saturday and noon and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The show also has brought in “Chris Tice, the DIY Guy” from Orlando. He will demonstrate at his booth how to make a chandelier from wine bottles, a silverware wall clock and a knife/spice/iPad stand.

Nick Zimmer from Trad’s Garden Center will share gardening ideas, and Doug Stuber and Mark Masters from the First Coast Koi Club will present a seminar about outdoor fish ponds.

Other topics include solar energy, interior decorating, organizing the home and couponing.

On the Cooking Stage sponsored by Jacksonville Magazine, local culinary celebrities will demonstrate their kitchen techniques and serve samples of their creations.

Chefs on the schedule include DeJuan Roy from Alhambra Theatre Dining, Chriss Brown from 927 Events, Celestia Mobley from Soul Food Bistro, Waylon Rivers from Blacksheep, Cari Sanchez-Potter from Intuition Aleworks, Omar Collazo from Nipper’s Beach Grill, Jackson Rust from Mojo’s Bar-B-Que, Ian Lynch from Ovinte and Richard Nunn, WJXT TV-4 meteorologist.
