PM visits Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park site

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif visited the project site of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park at Bahawalpur Wednesday.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Captain (Retd) Assadullah Khan briefed the PM about the project. The PM was apprised that in the 1st phase, with a cost of Rs 17 billion, 100MW electricity would be produced by November this year and an 11 km access road to the site has been completed while as work on boundary wall of the Energy Park is in full swing.
During the briefing, it was informed that 0.9 Cusecs clean water is being supplied to the project and electricity demand for the project is currently being fulfilled by the available 132 kV lines. The 1st phase of this project would be accomplished by the Punjab government.
Earlier, the Prime Minister had an aerial view of the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park site.
