Discover Solar and Wind Power at Central Library (Lady Lane) during Sustainable Energy Week 18-23 June.

With everyday energy costs soaring now is the time to look at using solar and wind power in your home or business. Energy is essential to the comfort of our homes to provide heat and electricity. However, there are lots of ways we can use energy more efficiently while still meeting our energy needs. This section of the website offers tips and advice to save you money on your energy bills, increase the comfort of your home and help to reduce climate change in the process!

During Sustainable Energy Week which runs from 18 – 23 June, Waterford’s Europe Direct Centre, ENFOpoint and City Council Environmental Services and the Energy Bureau are joining forces to bring you practical information on using energy conservation and renewable energy services. A wind turbine and solar panel will be on display on the ground floor of Central Library as well as practical information on conservation energy.

Waterford Europe Direct Centre is delighted to work with EU Sustainable Energy Week which showcases activities dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. It is designed to spread best practices, inspire new ideas and build alliances to help meet the EU’s energy and climate goals.
