A free and open to the public informational Solar Energy Forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, at the Morrisville State College, Norwich campus, located at 20 Conkey Avenue. Todd Paternoster will speak on “Solar Energy for Homeowners: Using Solar Energy to Produce Electricity and Heat Here, Now, and Forever.”

Paternoster has career experience in the field and will cover the basics of hot water and photovoltaic (PV) systems. He is a worldwide trainer of solar thermal installers, designers, and engineers in various aspects of solar technology, including installing solar projects for individuals. Paternoster co-authored the textbook, “Solar Farms Funding Solar Projects,” that is being used by professionals and colleges across the country.

This is the first in a series of forums planned for this spring, sponsored by Chenango Community Action for Renewable Energy (C-CARE). The next Solar Energy Forum will be held on April 26.
