Solar power is the renovation of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaic (PV), or not directly using concerted solar power (CSP). Concentrated solar power systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking methods to spotlight a huge area of sunlight into a small beam. Photovoltaic alters light into electric current using the photoelectric effect. Each of these two types of solar energy needs the manufacture of two single types of solar panels.

One is named a solar collector which is used to warm up water and then store it in a tank for dispersal when required. The other kind of panel is called a solar panel, or more properly, a photovoltaic panel. Solar panels collect the light waves from the Sun and change it into direct current electricity, that can then be altered to alternating current using an inverter. Intense Solar Power (CSP) systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking systems to direct a massive part of sunlight into a small beam.
