The Harwich Conservation Trust will present “Advanced Tracker: Wildlife Tracking Workshop” from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Bells Neck Conservation Area off Depot Road in Harwich (see website for directions). The program will be led by naturalist and tracking instructor Todd Kelley. Attendees will learn to identify and interpret animal movements through learning the science of tracks they leave behind. Trackers will also learn to search for other clues left by wildlife such as otter, fox, coyote, deer, raccoon, muskrat, skunk and maybe even mink. The Friends of Snow Library and Allegro Outreach will present their 18th annual Musical Instrument Demonstration and Showcase for children from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Marion Craine Gallery at Snow Library, 67 Main St., Orleans. The kids will meet and hear percussionists, folk musicians, classical talents and child stars. There will be 20-25 musicians on hand to explain how their bass, trumpet, tuba, flute, violin and other instruments work. Musicians will include Dinah Mellin, Brenda Rogers, Tim Sweeney, David Macadam, Elizabeth Cahill, Natalia Bonfini, Bud Brown, Mike Rodericks, Rick Sweeney and more. Admission is free. Magician Debbie O’Carroll will present The Irish Magic Show at the Mashpee Public Library at 11 a.m. at the library, 64 Steeple St., Mashpee. The show will entertain young audiences with the culture, language, and lore of the Emerald Isle. O’Carroll blends stage magic with physical comedy and audience participation to introduce a clan of classical characters from Irish children’s literature. Admission is free. Dancing for a Cure will present its fourth annual Dance Marathon from 6 to 10 p.m. at Cape Cod Academy, 50 Osterville-West Barnstable Road, Osterville. The evening will feature four hours of non-stop dancing to benefit breast and ovarian cancer research. WCOD radio’s Stephanie Viva will serve as event DJ and emcee. Each half hour, area dancers will perform a short piece to give floor dancers time to hydrate. Local performance groups include Center Stage Dance Academy, Dance Designs, Mashpee High School Cheerleading, Sandwich Dance Academy, Tabor Academy Dance Company and Turning Pointe Dance Studio.
